It's been a tough season for the Liverpool attack, with both of our blockbuster forward signings enduring spells on the sidelines. Isak struggled to get up to speed after a drawn out exit from Newcastle, then suffered a cruel leg break just as he started to hit form. Ekitike, on the other hand, hit the ground running with plenty of goals, before fizzling out a little and suffering a horrible Achilles injury against PSG. When it rains, it pours!

It is completely official now Reds, Iraola will become the manager of Liverpool FC. He has signed a two-year contract, in keeping with his ethos of staying on at a club because he deserves it, not because of a contractual obligation. This is huge!

Which young star are you excited to see next season? 💫

If Iraola takes over at Liverpool, we can expect two things at Anfield: an intense style of play which will rely on a bigger squad and a greater focus on young talents. With this in mind, we could see more game time for Morrison, Abe and Wright, three promising forwards. This isn't even to mention other prospects like Koumas and Danns, who will also be looking to make a mark.
