What motivates you with your goals: I like a good challenge, I like anything that makes me feel like I’m getting better at something! A big one for me is having someone go through a similar journey with me. Doesn’t have to be exactly the same goal, but I like having someone there for all kinds of reasons. Support, accountability, for an extra push and also just for fun!
How long have you been in the fitness industry: Started as a surf coach 10 years ago!
Favourite thing about being a health/fitness coach: I love getting to those breakthrough moments with clients. Where you really feel like they have changed something big and done something they never thought they could!
What do you believe is the most important thing to help you achieve your goals? I believe having structure is so important! The times I’ve tried to ‘just wing it’ never go well, and I would like to think I know what I’m doing half the time! Have a plan and stick to it, if it’s not working, adapt the plan, don’t jump from one thing to another.
Fact about you that would surprise people: I hated running with a passion and wanted to run a marathon to prove myself wrong. It’s still not my favourite thing in the world but I’ve done 2 marathons now!
Favourite training style and why? I love heavy supersets. I like being able to jump around the gym from one exercise to another quite quickly and I also like lifting heavy. Supersets allow me to do both at the same time.
