Ready for Screen Printing

I’ve separated the colours into individual layers. This artwork is now ready for screen printing and could easily be adapted into a textile design for lampshades or posters. The collage began as a physical composition, which I refined in Procreate and Illustrator to create the final digital artwork.

From Black and White Photo of Westminster Station to Colourful Textile Design

I started implementing the technique I learned at the Design Museum Textile Design workshop. It’s really good fun cutting out colourful shapes inspired by architectural forms. The collage technique is a simple but effective way to transform the design into a 3D mockup ready for textile.

This process is called abstraction.
