Kyle in 3d wearing new collab garms.

We 3d scanned the guys onsite at the Palace offices. We used our portable 3d scanners and custom software.

The 3d scan data is then fixed back in our studio. Clean meshes and rich colour textures.
πŸ₯·

The 3d files can then be used for digital: animation, rendering, production. Or for fabrication: 3d printing, CNC milling, etc

We 3d scanned our friend using structured light scanning
We used laser scanning to 3d scan the head piece and connecting ball socket of a Metal Gear Solid figurine
The data was then fixed and processed for digital fabrication
We custom sculpted a new helmet piece in Zbrush to show more face than the traditional figure
We used our helmet design to boolean cut a face plate out of our 3d scan data
This face plate would now fit perfectly with our helmet design
The helmet was printed in SLS nylon using selective laser sintering
The face plate was printed in full colour using colour jet printing
We painted the SLS nylon helmet and glued the face plate in place
We added our new head piece back onto the figure
We posed it in camp ways for nice product shots
And there you have a custom collectable figure using the finest digital manufacturing methods
