Advantage of Being His Sheep
Date: 4th of March 2024
Text: Matt 15:21-28
The woman in today's bible reading was so desperate to receive help from Jesus because her daughter was demon-possessed, but Jesus didn't pay any attention to all her pleas, even His disciples had to tell Him that at least if you're not going to answer her you can do well to chase her away (V.23). The reason Jesus didn't answer her was not that He could not meet the need of the woman, but rather it was because Jesus was not sent to her. (V.24).
Jesus made it known to her that he was only sent to the "Lost Sheep". Now the question is who are His sheep?
His Sheep are does who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, those who have already identified with Him, while the lost sheep are the backsliders or the people who got their attention away from God. *Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”* (Lk 19:9-19). The moment Jesus said this the bible records that the woman worshiped Him *"Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!”* This means that the woman came to submit to Jesus and said Lord help me. Then Jesus still replies to her by saying *“It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.”*
But the woman responded by referring to Him as master “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their MASTERS' table.”
The woman agreed that her salvation might still be very new and she might not have yet gained the Masters' trust, but nonetheless, there is a grace for identifying with Jesus and the rest is history.
The Sheep according to that bible passage are the children of God who are constantly in a relationship with him *"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:"* (Jh10:27)
While the lost sheep are the ones who grew up in faith
as children of God but backslide along the line. *"Ever since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you," says the LORD Almighty."*
The dog is those still living a dirty life, a sinful life, a life without any reference for God *"Formerly when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods."* (Gal 4:8)
If you belong to the Lost Sheep, God is calling you back today and you need to rededicate your life back to him, if you consider yourself not having any relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ, why don't you say this simple prayer Lord Jesus come into my life and be my personal Lord and Savior, accept me as your own from now on and forever. Amen 🙌.
I pray God will continue to hold us till the end and we will not fall by the way, His grace will be sufficient for us in Jesus' Name Amen 🙏🏾.

*The Lord Provides in The Wilderness*
*Text: Deuteronomy 29:3-5*
*Date: 5th of February 2024*
[3] You saw the terrible plagues, the miracles, and the great wonders that the Lord performed. [4] But to this very day, he has not let you understand what you have experienced. [5] For forty years the Lord led you through the desert, and your clothes and sandals never wore out.
I'm sure some of us are familiar with our Bible reading today. We all remember the story of the Israelites when they journeyed through the Wilderness to the promised land, God already knows their strength and weaknesses, hence the reason he chose their journey through the Wilderness, even when there was a shorter way to the promised land. â€â€
[17] When the king of Egypt let the people go, God did not take them by the road that goes up the coast to Philistia, although it was the shortest way. God thought, “I do not want the people to change their minds and return to Egypt when they see that they are going to have to fight.” [18] Instead, he led them in a roundabout way through the desert toward the Red Sea. The Israelites were armed for battle. (Exodus‬ â€13:17â€-‬18‬ â€GNT‬‬).
And God was right though, you can imagine, that God's reason for taking them through the Wilderness was that they might change their mind if the Philistines faced them in a war and returned to Egypt, here is the catch, they don't even have to face with any war before they started to change their mind, the first thing they had to face was hunger â€â€
[3] and said to them, “We wish that the Lord had killed us in Egypt. There we could at least sit down and eat meat and as much other food as we wanted. But you have brought us out into this desert to starve us all to death.” (Exodus‬ â€16:3‬ â€GNT‬‬). Even after God gave them Manner to eat from heaven they still complained that they wanted meat (Num 11:4-5) and every time they complained they always referred back to Egypt.
Back to our Bible reading for today, we can see that throughout their time in the wilderness, God sustained them, and their clothes and sandals never wore out (Vs:5)
I want you to know that every journey to a promised land always comes with a wilderness experience, a voice had to cry from the Wilderness to prepare the way of our Lord Jesus Christ (Jh 1:23). Jesus didn't start His ministry until after he had wilderness experience (Matt 4:1) it is after the experience that he started He started to preach in (Vs 17)
I want you to know that no matter what you might be going through now might be your own wilderness experience and there is always God's provision for such a phase.
My prayer for you today is that in whatever you might be facing now God will be sufficient for you, and see you through this phase in your life and you shall come out strong in Jesus' Name. Amen 🙌

Listen closely! The Lord leads a member to receive ministry from various sources. They receive the element they need for their spir-itual sustenance. They don’t occupy a seat in a ministry because they’re sold out for the vision. They occupy it to get a need met.
