How can we encourage play it at home? 🍃 ~ Play is vital in equipping your little one with the skills they need to succeed inside and outside of the classroom. Whilst educators acknowledge the importance of the academic progress made at school, it is also equally important that we facilitate social play, resilience and independence, so your child can succeed in a demanding society beyond the school gates. Get out this weekend & play! ~ Play2Learn 🍃

"Art has the role in education of helping children become like themselves instead of more like everyone else" - Sydney Gurewitz Clemens 🎨
Art may seem like fun and games — and it is! Your little one is learning a lot through exploring the arts and doing art activities. Your children will gain useful life skills through art, so encourage them to get creative, and you will soon see that they are picking up on the following skills:
- Communication skills
- Problem - solving skills
- Fine motor development
- Social & emotional skills
Useful tip: Creative a special space in your classroom/home with paints, scrap paper, colouring pencils and recycled materials for them to independently explore at any time of the day. Let them be the conductor of their creativity! 🌿

PSED is one of the three prime areas within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and involves the following three Early Learning Goals -
🌱 Self-Regulation: Show an understanding of their own feelings and those of others, and begin to regulate their behaviour accordingly.
🌱Managing Self: Be confident to try new activities and show independence, resilience and perseverance in the face of challenge.
🌱Building Relationships: Work and play cooperatively and take turns with others; Form positive attachments to adults and friendships with peers; Show sensitivity to their own and to others' needs.
The best way to support your little one in personal, social and emotional development is through the power of play!
