JLF advises on shareholder buyout of the SOCO Group

JLF has acted as lead advisor to the SOCO Group to complete a shareholder buyout of exiting shareholder Philip Sutcliffe. As a result of the transaction, Kane Haig and James Ogilvie become majority shareholders.

SOCO Group includes the award winning social media agency The Social Co, which counts Newcastle United FC, the NHS, Lusso Stone and Metro Centre as its clients.

JLF’s Jabad Jaigirdar was recently invited to Jesus College, University of Cambridge to see first hand its outreach work, a proactive programme of engagement with communities who have traditionally been underrepresented in higher education.

It was particularly encouraging to see representation from local schools and sixth forms like Whitley Bay High School and Burnside College.

Through the recently announced Jabad Jaigirdar Bursary, we look forward to supporting local students from diverse backgrounds in the North East to envisage themselves thriving at an elite university like the University of Cambridge.
