I thought it was time to introduce myself as I have over 350 of you incredible, phenomenal and ambitious women following .inc
⠀
Hey, Female CEOs, my name is Christabel Charles (aka Belle), the Founder of .inc I wanted to let you know a bit about me!
⠀
🇬🇧 I live in London, UK
🐾 I am a dog mum to two Pomeranian dogs (Rio & Winter). The cutest, fluffiest little dogs!
👩🏾💼I was a six-figure Chief of Staff in Corporate Finance at 30!
👩🏾💻I now own 3 businesses
🎬 I love The Devil Wears Prada
🚗 I bought myself a brand new Range Rover as my graduation gift
⠀
My career began with me graduating top of my class in Business Management with First-Class Honours and the Vice-Chancellor’s Award (one of my proudest achievements) 👩🏾🎓. This led to my 1st Executive role in Finance and working on strategy at billion-dollar companies whilst managing large global teams of mostly ambitious women (and some really great guys too). Areas of my Chief of Staff role included working closely with CEOs as “right-hand” woman, drafting & negotiating contracts 📑, streamlining operations and processes, marketing & branding, working closely with Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals, mentoring and coaching staff & finance including preparing multi-million-dollar budgets 📊.
⠀
I was the youngest Chief of Staff in my company’s history & smashed the glass ceiling. Although I loved my career 💖, I always knew my life was not meant to be spent in an office or having someone dictate my time/tell me what I could and couldn’t do.
⠀
At first, I didn’t know exactly what my calling was but I knew deep down that I wasn’t doing it. I got stuck in a great job doing what seemed perfect but I knew it wasn’t the vision I had for my future ✨
⠀
I could always picture who I wanted to be (a coach) and what I wanted to be doing (helping fabulous female business owners) but for so long, I wasted time as I didn’t have a PLAN. I didn’t know where to start, I was scared I would mess it up or waste time, I was scared that people might not like me, I was scared to start something new and step into the unknown, I was scared I wouldn’t be able to maintain my lifestyle…cont. in comments👇🏾

Apologies for the radio silence but I’ve been dealing with a huge loss these past months and have been grieving. My Stepdad, Lloyd, who raised me since I was 7, gained his wings in June - he was an amazing man who motivated me daily and kept me focused. He was a qualified Chemical Engineer and company executive who helped mould me into the person I am today. I credit him with where I am today. He was loved, appreciated and is sorely missed.
⠀
It has been super difficult coming on to this page as I spoke to him every day about the direction I wanted to take with Female CEOs and how I wanted to help likeminded women to smash the glass ceilings so it feels a bit alien to me to do it without running my ideas past him or sending him my proposed posts for his feedback.
⠀
I miss him dearly and I’m so grateful to have had him in my life.
⠀
RIP Dad, I know you’re chilling in the clouds looking over us 🕊🙏🏾❤️

✨ Kindness NEVER goes out of style ✨
⠀
It’s already super hard being a women...we always have to fight that bit harder to be noticed and respected for our value - whether it’s in meetings, trying to negotiate your salary, in the Board room, going for that promotion or to get funding for your dream.
⠀
We are paid less than men, we struggle to negotiate package - salary and benefits, we’re not taken as seriously, if we are assertive we can be called “a bitch” or “bossy”. To add to that we are then harassed simply walking down the street, told we’re too much of this or not enough of that.
⠀
The worst thing is that we are often pitted against each other as there’s this ridiculous narrative that there can only be one Queen B. Encouraged to talk behind each other’s back, get catty, compare and argue. Despite this we still rise and succeed.
⠀
💕 Let’s continue to be kinder...
⠀
I love the new narrative we - as a collective - are pushing; encouraging, empowering and supporting one another, backing businesses and ideas and paying compliments. It’s AMAZING😍🥰
⠀
You’re killing it beautiful, continue to smash your goals, meditate, self-love and support like minded Female CEOs who are bossing up their lives 👑👩💻👩💼
⠀
Remember you are your OWN competition, you do not have to compete with other women. There’s room for all of us at the table 💯❤️
