The United Kingdom is a popular choice among international students for studying abroad. The UK provides quality education using the world’s best technologies as it has some of the most reputed universities in the world. It is a dream for students to study at top universities in the UK and pursue a bright career in the UK. The UK has a cosmopolitan vibe as people worldwide are here, making it an exciting place to live, creating a multicultural society.

1) High education quality
World-class technology, quality education, modern equipment and recognized faculty make higher education attractive for international students. The courses are designed in such a way that it gives freedom to the students to be creative and develop a great set of skills and confidence. The students are constantly guided and supported by academic experts throughout their course duration. The degree acquired in the UK is recognized around the world.

2) Short duration courses
While there are regular courses to choose from, the UK is known for its short duration courses, and some of the best institutes offer them. The bachelor’s, which generally spans over 4 years, can be completed within 3 years, and there is a 1-year masters course. Students also can choose academic and vocational courses of their choice during the period of study.

3) Highly specialized courses
Students have the flexibility to customize their courses according to their needs and interests. Faculty at the universities create customized modules to retrofit into the academic courses for students when requested for special courses.

4) Cost-effective
The cost is always a factor that international students fear while thinking of applying to the UK. However, tuition for most universities and colleges is in the range of £6,000 to £7,000 a year which is considered cost-effective.

5) Scholarships/ loans
There are various scholarships and study loans available to students who wish to study in the UK. Students may apply to Government bodies, European Commission, funding trusts, the British council, and individual Universities. A growing number of scholarships are being offered to attract the most talented international students. Not all UK scholarships are awarded based on financial need – most of them evaluate students' academic abilities.

6) Apply without IELTS
Many universities in the UK allow admissions without IELTS scores. There are many other ways to prove your proficiency apart from IELTS. Students with a 60% or above score in 10th and 12th class in English are allowed by some universities after the telephonic or personal interview. A student must possess excellent English skills to avoid taking IELTS for admission. Contact for a detailed list of Universities.

7) Easy visa process and low visa rejection
Students studying in the UK for less than six months need a short-term student visa (does not have a work permit). If your course lasts for longer than six months, students need a Tier 4 (general) student visa. Applying for a visa after confirmation of university admission makes the visa process easy with a low rejection rate.

With the “International Education Strategy” launched by the UK government in early 2019, the aim is at increasing the total number of international students to 600,000 each year by 2030 from the current 460,000 students. The new strategy, set to be rolled out in the coming years, will offer undergraduate and Masters’ students the chance to stay in the UK to look for work for six months after graduating.

8) Work opportunities
After completion of graduation or master’s course, international students can apply for a job. There are many jobs available, and students apply through various portals. Students can work up to 20 hours a week during course term and full time during term break.

9) No language barrier
English being the official language in the UK, the locals converse in English. The courses are also conducted in English, and therefore it is an ideal place to develop language skills and enhance employment prospects.
