House of Lords delegation visits Spring Hill Practice

Spring Hill Practice welcomed Baroness Walmsley, Lord Dholakia, Baroness Nye, Baroness Ritchie and Baroness Wyld to Spring Hill Practice as part of a House of Lords Vaccination Committee visit focused on childhood immunisation and the wider system factors shaping vaccine uptake.

The visit brought together representatives from Parliament, public health, the NHS, primary care networks and community organisations to explore how neighbourhood working, trusted relationships and integrated partnerships are improving access to childhood vaccinations.

Discussions highlighted the importance of tackling health inequalities, strengthening community engagement, supporting parents through trusted local networks, and keeping prevention at the centre of neighbourhood healthcare.

The visit also showcased the collaborative approach across City & Hackney, demonstrating how general practice, local authorities and voluntary sector partners are working together to build trust, improve access and deliver better outcomes for children and families.
