Operation Empower Liverpool.
A lot of people have heard the name, but might not know how it works.
Operation Empower is there to help make Liverpool’s night time economy safer by tackling predatory behaviour and supporting people who feel vulnerable. Officers work across the city centre, including plain clothes officers who look out for concerning behaviour and step in where needed.
If you’re out and something feels wrong, trust your instincts. Speak to venue staff, security or police officers nearby. If you’re in immediate danger, call 999 and explain what’s happening.
To keep Liverpool safe it takes the police, community groups and the public to all work together.
