Expect is a charity that emphasises the benefits of inclusion and social integration, operating an alternative approach to institutionalised care and support. Expect manages the operation of housing projects such as supported living provision, registered care homes and community outreach services in order to provide appropriate levels of support, in an appropriate lifestyle context to best support each individual we work with. In addition to this Expect operates a comprehensive day service support/ community facility called ‘The Bowersdale Centre’ in Seaforth. The charity works alongside other voluntary, community and charitable organisations from this hub facility to develop service provision for the maximum amount of people who we can help. Expect aims to promote the value of ordinary living opportunities and eliminate the segregation and stigmatisation of people who consider themselves to be disadvantaged by reason of their physical health, mental health or learning disability. To this end we provide services that aim to preserve and protect the well-being of the disadvantaged in our society on a not-for-profit, charitable basis.
