Could menopause classes help men understand what women suffer? 09/11/2021

Good News Story!

Active Workforce’s recent focus on creating more awareness around the Menopause in the Workplace was recognised Nationally in Tuesday’s Daily Mail, Good Health Section.

Active Workforce have spent the last year delivering Menopause Seminars and facilitating Group Sessions in order to create awareness around the Menopause in the Workplace. The Seminars offer all employees information on the facts, help in recognising the symptoms in themselves or in colleagues, and advice on what treatments and support is available.

Amy Barnes, Active Workforce Manager, explained, "We've focused on delivering to 4 target groups; Managers, Women experiencing the Menopause, Men who work alongside them and Women who are yet to experience the Menopause. The idea is not only to help support women suffering with the symptoms, but to help all employees understand the Menopause, whether they are experiencing it, yet to experience it or working alongside someone who is experiencing it, to help make the workplace an easier environment to work in for all."

Active Workforce have continued their progress in creating awareness by offering the Seminars and Group Sessions to all organisations in and around Sefton, as well as the employees of their current participating organisations.
