Forza Roma

A real game of two halves today.

We started brightly and took an early lead, but MSB Napoli responded well to level the game before half-time in a very competitive first half.
The second half saw a much-improved performance from the boys.

We matched the opposition physically, showed great character, and started to see glimpses of the football we've been working hard to develop over the course of last season.

A special mention goes to birthday boy Dahud, whose relentless pressing paid off with our second goal.

His work rate and determination were a great example for the team and helped swing the momentum back in our favour. 🎂⚽

Credit to MSB Napoli for a fantastic game played in the right spirit all the way to the final whistle. 👏

Also don't forget to park either in Stanley Park car park or across the road on the side away from the pitches.

FT: Forza Roma 3-0 Marina Sands ⚽️

A game of two halves today. We struggled to get going in the first half and looked a little nervous, but after settling into the game and a positive half-time team talk, the boys produced a much stronger second-half performance and got the result their effort deserved. Plenty of rotation again today as we continue building towards next season and developing the style of play we want to see.

A special mention to Marina Sands' number 8 at centre-back, who was outstanding throughout, and their goalkeeper, who pulled off several excellent saves to keep them in the game. A real credit to their team
