I really don’t like overly-produced interviews.

You know the ones…
Over-rehearsed. Over-scripted. Slightly uncomfortable to watch.

At that point, you may as well just hand someone a script and ask them to read it.

Because the more controlled it becomes, the less real it feels.

I’ve filmed a lot of interviews over the years, and one thing has become very clear... The best ones don’t feel like interviews at all. They feel like conversations.

When you take the pressure off, stop over-directing, and let someone speak naturally, everything changes.
They relax.
They open up.
They actually sound like themselves.

And that’s where the good stuff comes from.

I’ve had clients say, 'I can’t believe you got them to say that,' when in reality… I didn’t 'get' them to say anything. I just created the space for it to happen.

Of course, structure matters. Talking points matter.
But there’s a big difference between guiding a conversation… And scripting every word.

Because the goal isn’t perfection.
It’s authenticity!

Once upon a time… a dream client came along ✨

I’ve been working with Helen Turner for (almost!) two years now, capturing the magic behind her House Of Angels event series 🪽

We were introduced through mutual connections (always the best way), and it’s been one of those collaborations that just works from day one.

The brief? Capture everything! The talks, the atmosphere, the in-between moments and bring it all together through guest interviews, b-roll, and highlight content that actually reflects what the events feel like!

And honestly… these projects are a dream.

Great people. Thought-provoking conversations. Amazing food. Beautiful locations.

We wrapped filming on the 7th event last week, and the final recap went live last night 🤩

But what really makes these events special is the community behind them. There’s a genuine sense of connection and shared energy that comes through so clearly on camera, and that’s always the goal.

Had a catch-up with Helen after sharing the final edits and got some incredible feedback (which I probably shouldn’t keep to myself… before I get told off 😂)

Safe to say that this is exactly the kind of work I love doing!🎬✨
