Design at HEART

It was a tough decision not to run any Design@HEART fairs in 2023, but I had lots of other 'stuff to do'. So this is what I've been doing. Well one of the things anyway (I've also been working on a big art commission) I've opened a shop! As some of you will know I already own The Green Yard plant shop at HEART, but last month, we expanded the business to include a gift and homewares shop. It's been a lot of hard work, but also very exciting. We're stocking lots of gorgeous things, including from some of the regular Design@HEART stallholders. So, here's an opportunity to come see, and in the absence of our usual November fair, it might be just the ticket to get your Christmas shopping under way. Just some of the lovely things on offer from our fabulous artists and desigers this Saturday at our second Design@HEART fair of the season! The fair is at HEART, Bennett Road, Headingley, LS6 3LT. It's 10am-4pm and it's free entry. There's also a Christmas Crafts workshop between 11am and 2pm. No need to book, just turn up. Everyone welcome. And that's PAYF.

It's that time of year when I put the final touches to the Christmas-not-Christmas playlist for the December fair. If you are looking for Slade and Chris Rea on constant loop, you'll need to go elsewhere. There will be seasonal songs, but they'll be a bit less obvious than that, and they'll be peppered amongst lots of other grooves. Just added a bit of Badu to the list, and I'm now I'm dancing at my desk!

Join us this Saturday for our final Craft Fair of the year. We have lots of fabulous stallholders ready for you to get your Christmas shopping done. And... there's a Christmas Crafts workshop with our lovely from 11am-2pm. No need to book, just turn up. It's PAYF.

And there's more! The Assembly Bar + Kitchen at Headingley HEART (HEART cafe) will be breaking out the mincepies and mulled cider all day, and there's a live band in the cafe from 4pm. And there's yet more! There's a ceilidh in the evening with the legendary Bandiera Rossa - tickets available from reception at HEART - Headingley Enterprise and Arts Centre .
