Progress often comes from paying attention to what already exists. In our work meaningful change rarely starts from scratch. It begins with understanding the stories, existing features, materials, and moments that are already present and responding to them with care.

Taking time to observe what’s lasted, what’s worked and what still feels relevant helps guide what comes next.

A quieter way to move forwards.

Our new studio space is complete and we are beyond excited to share a look at our finished studio.

One of the stand out features is the bold use of ribbed galvanised roofing sheets as wall cladding. These striking panels not only make an immediate impact but also draw the eye up, showcasing the impressive height and structure of the space. Keeping true to the buildings industrial roots, this element gives the design an edgy yet refined look.

Balancing the raw with the natural. To add warmth and contrast we introduced a one of a kind cedar shingle element, bringing in earthy tones and natural grains to balance the industrial features. The result is a space that feels, modern, creative yet grounded.

This project has been particularly special because it’s a space that’s truly ours. After 3 years of sharing offices with .bushi this is the next step in our journey together.

This transformation has been a true labour of love, with the majority of the work being done DIY. From cladding the walls, refinishing the original floorboards and adding the finishing touches, we’ve poured our hearts (and sweat) in to every inch of this space. It makes it that much more meaningful and we couldn’t be prouder.

This is just the beginning for this dynamic creative space, and we can’t wait to welcome the community in for workshops, events and more.
