Sometimes we only see a small part of someone’s story

When we pause and widen the lens, we start to see strengths, abilities and quiet talents that may have been overlooked.

There is more to every person than meets the eye.

One of our clients requested us to send 670 valentines cards in one day! Our trainees took on the challenge and completed it no problem.

It might seem like a simple task…but folding a card, putting it in an envelope, sealing it, adding an address label and a stamp builds so many important skills.

Through this one activity, our trainees developed:

Fine motor skills- folding along a line, sliding into the envelope and pressing the seal down all strengthen finger control and hand-eye coordination.

Sequencing- they learn the correct order. Missing a step shows why order matters.

Attention to detail – lining up edges to make sure the envelope closes properly and placing the stamp in the correct corner requires care and precision.

Organisation- gathering the cards, envelope, sticker and stamp encourages planning and preparation.
Responsibility- understanding that an individual is relying on them to send it correctly.
