It’s with a broken heart as I was composing this earlier and I got the sad news that we lost a dear friend, Mani from Stone Roses and Primal Scream. He was a true legend and will be dearly missed. My thoughts are with his boys and family tonight. Love you Mani true legends never die 😢❤️

Over the last 34 years, I’ve put on thousands of parties, and as every single one approaches, I have that knot in my stomach. I put it down to pre match nerves but once those doors open and the dance kicks off, the stress and anxiety fade away. Maybe it’s because I care so much about it being the best it can possibly be.

I’ve thrown thousands of parties, and one thing that I can always rely on is the essence of Back To Basics - the resident DJs. They’ve kept it Two Steps Further Than Any Other Fu**er for 34 years, musically raising the bar, putting the art into party, and always delivering the most cutting-edge electronic music known to man.

So this year, I’m proud to announce Basics All Stars - where all our residents past and present are coming together under one roof. It is a shame that some can’t be here, so I raise a drink to absent friends and take my hat off to salute to those about to spin.

Thank you for all the years; it’s been one hell of a blast. It’s time to leave the past in the past and look towards the future, so keep on carrying on.

This is dedicated to you, the Basics Faithfuls, that have turned up across three generations to dance your bo****ks off and party like there’s no tomorrow.
