Use patterns as well as regular practice.

Many times tables follow clear patterns. For example, numbers in the 5 times table always end in 0 or 5, and the 9 times table has digits that add up to 9 (e.g. 18, 27, 36). Spotting patterns makes recall much quicker and easier.
