✂️ From the edit suite to the director's chair.

We're proud to support the Yorkshire cohort of the Women in Film and TV (UK) 2026 Four Nations Mentoring Scheme, alongside our Screen Alliance North partners.

Designed for mid-career women in film, TV, and creative media, the scheme is accelerating careers in an industry where women remain underrepresented in leadership roles, and this year we sat down with the Yorkshire mentees to hear their stories.

Meet Dawn Feather.

With 20+ years across editing, producing, and directing, Dawn is using the programme to take a bold next step: getting her own projects commissioned and moving firmly into the director's chair.

We're delighted to welcome two new members to the Screen Yorkshire Board as we get set to deliver our ambitious Screen Sector Growth Strategy 2026–29.

Marketing leader Dom Dwight and digital media pioneer Athena Witter bring a wealth of expertise from across business, brand building, content, and the creative industries. Their appointments come at an exciting time for Screen Yorkshire as we focus on growing indigenous screen businesses, supporting the creator economy, and ensuring more of the value generated by production stays within the region.

Dom's experience in building iconic brands and Athena's expertise in digital platforms, content growth and IP development will help strengthen our mission to create a sustainable, future-focused screen sector for Yorkshire.

We look forward to working with them as we shape the next chapter of Yorkshire's screen industry.
