It is with an extremely heavy heart that after 35 amazing years at the Bridge due to illness and the Covid pandemic we are having to close our doors for the final time.
We can not thank everyone who has followed the pub and it's journey through the years and has supported us throughout the good and the not so good times enough.
We are truly forever grateful and will cherish the memories the pub has created for us all.
The Bridge Team has always been like one big family so it would be pointless naming names as there are too many outstanding characters that have working within these four walls over the years, but some people do need a huge thanking and that is the entertainment team we've had over the years! People like Judy and Leroy, Degsie, Marky Mark Scott, Miss Sordid Secret, Cherry Pops, Ginger, David Dabell (aka Daisy) and in more recent years Ellie, a lot of credit goes to you guys for making the Bridge the fantastic place it is to be.
As a family this decision has not come easy and we have taken many, many months to decide this but as you are all aware the recent months haven't been kind to us and we feel that the Bridge deserves a fresh start. It will always hold a very dear place in our hearts and we will be extremely sad to see the place go.
Once again I and my family would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making the last 35 years the most memorable and enjoyable years of our lives.

As of yet we are still in the dark about when things may return back to normal, we are just as impatient as all of you to get back to normal and get back in the pub singing our hearts away and dabbing away at our bingo.

It’s day number something in lockdown🤣we are starting to lose count of the days, but still managing to count down until we can all be together again and party with each other❤️
We hope all of our loved customers are staying safe and all of your families are safe, happy and well.
