Last, but by no means least, is a selection of photographs by Lane Shipsey who has been documenting elements of South Leeds for an exhibition looking at ideas of future from the perspective of the past.

As part of Situation Leeds BasementArtsProject is also presenting ’The Listening City’ a project in which he seeks to ask the question ‘how can the city listen to us?”

Ears have made their way into the very fabric of ‘The Corner’ Pocket Sculpture Park and we encourage you to come and seek them out. Post some photos when you find them.

And so to the end of our first exhibition of 2026. Thank you to Ros, Lucy, Lily & Iona… it’s been a blast! Tensile Strength put a spotlight, several very literally, on the skills of these women in metalwork.

One more opportunity to catch the Clinical Adoration performance on ‘The Corner’ Pocket Sculpture Park this weekend Saturday 2nd May at 1pm.

We will keep the Tensile Strength exhibition open 11am-1pm on that say as well for anyone wishing to visit BasementArtsProject as well.
