Rawdon in Bloom is a small group of volunteers, initially set up in 2016. Our aim is to make Rawdon look beautiful year round, whilst being mindful of the natural environment, our aim is to be sustainable and self sufficient, reducing both the monetary and carbon impact on the environment. We’ve tidied up the memorial on Littlemoor. (Opposite )
The council are doing very minimal mowing and no edging, as we all know. So keeping the surrounding area of our locations tidy is getting a little harder 💪🏼
We’re currently looking into cost effective, sustainable mulching options for the beds, which will surpress the w**d growth and lock in moisture during the hotter weather! 🌹
