It's Time To Become A New Kind Of Strong. πŸ’ͺ

When you are constantly focused on giving off a cool, calm and collected persona, you may be trying to focus on showing strength, but really, the damage this does to your mental health can leave you feel more fragmented inside than ever.

One of my mantras is: Silence breeds stress; sharing builds strength.

If you are not used to letting your mask fall, it can take time to feel comfortable sharing your inner feelings, but do not worry - it is expected. A lifetime of being told not to cry, to keep plodding along and to put your best foot forward no matter what can program this mindset in from a young age, but therapy can help you to unpack, process and learn how to better manage your feelings and reconnect with your inner voice. Here are five steps I always suggest to my clients who need support in this area:

🌟 Self-Awareness
Recognise the signs of difficult emotions so you can respond to your needs.

🌟 Find Safe Spaces For Expression
When your vulnerability is met with warmth and understanding it feels validating and supportive.

🌟 Practice Makes Progress
If being open feels scary, start small to build your confidence.

🌟 Balance & Boundaries
You don’t have to be a totally open book. Set your boundaries on what you want to say and to whom.

🌟 Regular Self-Care
Building resilience requires regular self-care. This prevents old patterns from resurfacing.

Allowing yourself to be vulnerable and feel your feelings can have a huge impact on your happiness. Better relationships, better work-life balance, more confidence - the list could continue. Read my latest article to learn more. >> https://zurl.co/x8L7
