 📖📖📖📖📖

Whilst we are closed to visitors we've been working on some creative ways to show you our resources that are still available to borrow.

Me and my Fear, by Francesca Sanna is a beautifully illustrated book to read with young children who might be experiencing big changes or anxieties in their lives. The young girl in this story is adjusting to life and school in a new country where she wants to make friends and explore her new neighbourhood but a growing fear is standing in the way.

Whilst reading this book you can ask questions including:
✏️What is fear? And, how does it feel when we're afraid?
✏️Does everyone have the same fears?
✏️What is happening in the pictures and how is the character feeling here?
Can you describe the meaning of:
>Fear
>Anxiety
>Overwhelm
>Panic
>Overcoming fear

Me and my Fear can be borrowed from us now, just get in touch (all details linked in our bio).

Sally Hughes at the Public Health Resource Centre has created a film of her reading a children’s book called Me and My Fear, which will be relevant for any little ones who are a bit anxious about going back to school, or indeed just anxious in general at the moment. It’s really lovely.

You don’t have to have Instagram to view it, the link will work for anyone.
