💚🐴 Self-Care Sunday: Your Herd Matters 🐴💚

Horses teach us so much about relationships, friendships and the importance of having the right people around us.

In a natural herd, horses don’t surround themselves with every horse they meet. They build trusted relationships, form close bonds and spend their time with herd members who help them feel safe, secure and supported. They groom one another, stand together, play together and look out for each other.

The strongest herds aren’t built on competition—they’re built on trust.

As humans, we’re not so different.

The people we choose to spend our time with can have a huge impact on our wellbeing. Good friends encourage us, support us through difficult times, celebrate our successes and help us feel valued. Just like horses, we all need a herd that makes us feel safe and accepted.

Sometimes self-care isn’t about bubble baths or taking a day off. Sometimes it’s about taking a look at the people around us and asking:

✨ Who makes me feel supported?
✨ Who encourages me to be my best self?
✨ Who helps me feel safe and valued?
✨ Am I spending enough time with the people who lift me up?

Life is too short to spend all your time with those who drain your energy. Find your herd. Treasure your herd. And remember that being a good friend is just as important as finding good friends.
