Just six days ago, the government's press release revealed their blueprint for an 'Every Child Can' programme: aiming to allow children across the country to access all kinds of enrichment activities.

The plan is to invest Β£132.5 million to fund activities in and out of school, ensuring this will be an entitlement for all.

This is an exciting proposal for all of us in education.

With the NEET crisis at an all time high, and it being a growing problem, plans like this show that the youth of today are being brought back to the centre of attention - exactly where they need to be in order to be guided back into society.

Every child should have an equal opportunity to access activities throughout their education, and hopefully, we will reach the stage where every child can🀝.

Happy National Thank a Teacher Day! ❀️
To all the teachers we work with, thank you for being there for your students, and visibly showing up every day. Being in their corner does not go unnoticed, and although it isn't always easy, you are appreciated more than you know.

And to all teachers out there, this is your day, and we hope you get given all the credit you deserve πŸ™Œ.

Our director, Sander de Groot, had the privilege of joining The Outward Bound Trust with MADE in a series of physical activities with fellow schools and students.

And if you know Sander, you know this is right up his street!

This week of whimsy comes at the end of students taking part in our VIPER programme. This is where we take proven and innovative thinking skills, coupled with advances in neuroscience, and put them into a 1:1 coaching programme in which students would learn how to think in an explicit and concrete manner.

And what a way to end such a successful period!

We look forward to continuing our partnership with all those involved, and we hope you appreciate these pics of the man himself in his element πŸ˜…!

1 in 8.
1 in 8 young people are not in education, employment or training - an increase of 70% over the last decade.

Following the government's recent report on Young People and Work, we were both shocked and saddened at these figures, and wanted to share what we think.

We are clearly at risk of losing generation, and this urgently needs to change.

A large proportion of young adults claiming they are NEET cite mental health as their primary condition, doubling to more than 4 in 10.

We want to make it clear: we don't blame you. Today, the cost of living combined with saturated job markets don't make it easy for this up and coming generation.

However, these limits are not definitive.

We want to talk about these issues, and to have your voices heard. It is important to share how you're feeling, as although it may sound trivial, simply talking about your struggles makes a huge difference. For example, a trusted friend may relate to how you feel, which allows them to express that back to you, and before you know it, a weight is lifted off both of your shoulders.

And mental health issues don't come from nowhere - these struggles start from a young age.

That is why school/college/sixth form is the perfect place to talk about these issues, especially with friends.Staying in school and going as much as possible gives you a familiar routine that you can trust. It also allows you to focus your attention on thinking and developing, as-well as spending time with people important to you.

As a NEET, you are part of the solution to this crisis, and vital to its turning around.

A problem shared is a problem halved, and by addressing these issues and bringing them to social media, we encourage people to get rid of the taboo nature surrounding these topics.

With this in mind, we can take one big step to getting this solved πŸ‘Š.
