Storm eunice is now and in full development mode across the Atlantic currently. Its already looking like a very deep low and the atmospheric pressure has dropped 40 millibars ,which means this system will be aggressive and still developing as it approaches.

Getting alot of messages about travel - tomorrow will be a calm and somewhat normal day of weather and so will the evening / night time so travel tomorrow if you can..

The charts have updated again and the strength of the winds on Friday look likely to peak around lunchtime! 70-80 mph winds are likely widely, pushing 85 - 90mph in very exposed places.

Delays to power, travel, flight, train and ships are all now confirmed. This is going to be a very powerful and an unforgiving system.

This is likely to be the strongest and most aggressive stom for England in the past 22 years! What we saw today is a test.

We are getting large reports of trees down across the chilterns this evening, the list is too long to list.

For anyone wishing to visit wendover woods this weekend.. they have announced a closure already for Friday and Saturday, will assess if its safe to re open Sunday.

Whipsnade zoo have also said they are closing Their doors on friday🦓

Many markets, train routes, some schools and flights are already to put delays and plans in place.

If you are travelling or commuting, please check before u set off on Friday as the advice is not to venture out if you can help it.
