How to get your degree certificate attested for use abroad:

The exact requirements depend on the country you are going to, but most of the time, you need to get your degree certificate "notarised" or "certified" first and then you can get it attested.

To get it notarised, the notary needs to check that your qualification is authentic by contacting your university. They will then prepare a notarial certificate confirming that it is a genuine qualification and attach this to a copy of your degree certificate. This is now an original notarised document which can be aspotilled and if necessary, sent to the appropriate embassy for further attestation.
