The Crowther family have been arable farmers in Castle Hedingham for 6 generations and specialise in growing milling wheat and malting barley. These crops require a higher level of stewardship of farming than normal feed crops. In 2010 we planted 5 acres of Bacchus, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Using the same skills and diligence leant through arable farming, we are now producing award-winning white and rose wines.

Angus has been sharing the story behind our newest release: Pinot Noir 2025 Still Rosé.
Made from last year’s Pinot Noir harvest, these grapes were some of the most concentrated we’ve ever grown.
A hot summer and very little rain produced smaller berries packed with flavour, creating what might just be our most expressive Rosé yet.
