Is your interior design marketing strategy based on social media folklore?
For instance, video always gets more engagement. Right? Not according to YourCoachApproach’s own LinkedIn data.
As shown in the infographic, my network was 3x more likely to see posts with images than video posts. Put another way, marketing messages reached 3x more people using posts that took far, far less time to make than a video.
No small business owner has time to waste. So, always base your marketing strategy on your data. And the social media insights you have available to you. Not folklore.

Yes! But it’s not a matter of sending 000s of connection requests. Not least, LinkedIn doesn’t allow it. Instead, put together a connection strategy using the info available on LinkedIn profiles. As shown in the image:
- Suitability: A LinkedIn profile holds common client info: gender, age, and earnings. At least when combined with job listings and company review sites.
- Familiarity: Look for people in companies near to you. As the closeness of your location to theirs can create a link. And connect with potential clients in the same company to give them the impression you know them. Because of your shared connections.
- Activity: Make sure they regularly use their account. The number of their connections and their like, comment, and post history provides the indicators you need.
