HCT's tips for lawns during hot, dry weather:

1. Mow less or not all. If you must cut the grass, keep the mower blades high.
2. Established lawns rarely need watering, but new turf does.
3. Don’t panic! Brown lawns often recover when cooler, wetter weather returns.

Today is the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year - and the shortest night!
