Petition: Call for an end to LGBT human rights violations in Brunei. Brunei currently punishes homos*xuality by imprisonment of up to a decade, and will soon make it punishable by death. As a fellow Commonwealth country, the UK Government must urgently call for an end to human rights violations against the LGBT community in Brunei.

LGBT rights in Iran

LGBT rights in Iran have come in conflict with the penal code since the 1930s.[1] In post-revolutionary Iran, any type of s*xual activity outside a heteros*xual marriage is forbidden. Same-s*x s*xual activities are punishable by imprisonment,[2] corporal punishment, or ex*****on. Gay men have faced stricter enforcement actions under the law than le****ns.

Transgender identity is recognized through a s*x reassignment surgery. S*x reassignment surgeries are partially financially supported by the state. Some homos*xual individuals in Iran have been pressured to undergo s*x reassignment surgery in order to avoid legal and social persecution.[3] Iran carries out more s*x reassignment surgeries than any other country in the world after Thailand."
