Exeter is preparing for one of its oldest and most unique traditions!
Thursday 9 July sees the historic Lammas Fair comes to life with the eye-catching white glove procession going through the city centre before it is hoisted above the Historic Guildhall's balcony.
The tradition dates back more than 900 years and was done across the country to mark the start of Lammas Fair, which would go on for multiple days.
Proceedings will get underway at 11am, with the Lord Mayor's procession of the Lammas Glove, including civic dignitaries and Morris dancers departing from the Civic Centre.

As temperatures soar above 30°C this week, we're taking extra steps to support people sleeping rough in Exeter.
The Council has activated its Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) from Wednesday 8 July until Monday 12 July to help protect vulnerable people during the hot weather.
Working with our supported accommodation partners, Gabriel House and Prospects, we'll be providing extra drinking water and sun cream, while continuing to work closely with local partners throughout the heatwave.
