Moggans I have frozen my socks!

The great thing about having 4 years to plan my walk from Lands End to John O Groats is that I can get my equipment and clothing perfect.
I chose Merino Wool walking socks for my 1,093 mile walk. I purchased one pair of Stravaiger hiking socks from Moggans (made in Scotland) and then tried them and they were great so I purchased another two pairs, giving me 3 pairs for my walk, wear one, wash one, one spare.
Clothes moths like Merino Wool for their dinner so I have placed each pair in a sealed plastic bag, froze them in the freezer ( I was busted by my wife who found them) and now they can be safely stored until it’s time to set off on 1st April 2028

Hi everyone. Just to throw it out there, in April 2028 when I will be 64 years old I am setting off on my latest project to walk from Lands End to John O Groats 1,093 miles.

Last Saturday I was invited by the amazing team at Tesco Exmouth to do a bucket collection to raise monies for Hospiscare as a result of my 630 mile South West Coast Path walk that I am starting in just two weeks time.

I am delighted to report that the collection raised £467.72 for Hospiscare due to the kindness of the people of Exmouth at Tesco.
