Happy Valentine's Day!
Don't worry, this isn't your usual mushy gushy post but a bit of an appreciation post.
Yesterday was the last day of term for a week, and even this time last year it would have sent me into a bit of a panic wondering how I was going to give 100% to my kids at the same time as giving 100% to my clients. The whole work/life balance doesn't just go out of the window, but smashes though it!
But not anymore! Planning is the key. I've got all the work I could do in advance done, my inbox is clear and up to date. All the bits that have to be done in 'real time' are in my calendar so that I know to do them (and is also kept to a minimum) and my socials are scheduled to keep my business ticking over.
That's not to say I won't be doing any work at all, but there will be no meetings, discovery calls or anything that needs me for huge blocks of time.
This means that I can enjoy the half-term with the kids guilt free, but also stress free in the knowledge that all is well on the business front too.
How do you manage the school holidays as a business owner?

So the key here is not to overthink anything.
There's no need to reinvent the wheel every time you post something to your social media platforms.
Try this instead.
Pay a visit to your analytics and look at your best performing content for the last year (or the last 90 days if you're a new business).
Have a look at your top three posts - and recreate. Add a different image or tweak the design. If last year you did a carousel, can it be recreated as a reel by using some B-roll, or even a video that you've taken recently.
You could even use the same caption - as you know that only you see 100% of your content.
Schedule these and forget.
