Meet Employability and Careers Consultant, Claire! She helps our Exeter MSc Management students and alumni navigate the job market and discover their employability superpowers. If you’re joining us this year, you’ll meet her in person at our Careers Camp on 21-23 September (make sure you’ve checked your emails, as we sent the details last week). 👀

We asked her to explain more about her role in her own words… 💼

“Students can meet with me virtually or in person for 30-minute appointments where I can answer questions and give practical help and feedback. I can also just generally boost you up if you’re having a hard time in your job search! 😊

Not only that, but I run lots of workshops on pretty much anything to do with your career, such as using LinkedIn, networking, or preparing for video interviews. 💻

My job-hunting superpower is international students and helping them understand the UK job market, which is likely to be quite different in unexpected ways from what they are used to at home. 🌎

A common myth is that you must do an internship to get a job in the UK. It does help – but there are many other things you can do that employers love just as much! 😄
