All this work & it leaked 😳

A beautiful lead flat roof in the summer sunshine… one of those jobs you look forward to turning up for.

In this video, I take you through the build from start to finish, covering the roof a little quicker than usual while still showing the important details along the way.

But the story doesn’t end there.

A while after the job was finished, I got the call nobody wants. Water had found its way into the building. Thankfully, the lead roof wasn’t the problem. The culprit was an old stone parapet wall that had become saturated, allowing water to track through nearly two feet of masonry.

To put it right, I returned to cap the wall in lead, stopping the water at its source and giving the building the protection it should have had from the beginning.

Sometimes a leak isn’t where you think it is.
