The Exchange Diaries w/c 22nd June πŸ“”

This week was truly unforgettable for many reasons; not just the heatwave that broke the 1976 record! Hope everyone made it through okay. πŸ₯΅

We appeared on Gardeners' World (episode 15) which was a truly exciting moment for us all! Our Head Gardener Selina enjoyed a walk around our lovely garden with Arit Anderson while discussing its history, the story of reuse, and how it was built with local materials to create a community space. We're incredibly proud of our space, designed by and always love welcoming the community. πŸ₯°

Another wonderful moment was Erith Pride on the Side that we hosted on Saturday. There were community stalls, games & activities, local craft stalls and music! Thank you to everyone who got involved! We loved welcoming you. πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆΒ

Did you catch us on Gardeners World or join us on Saturday?

If you caught us on Gardeners World last night and are a new follower, hello! πŸ‘‹

The Exchange is a community-led crafts organisation in South East London. We are a 3 minute walk from Erith train station, in the beautiful old Carnegie Library building on Walnut Tree Road. Alongside the garden tended by Selina, we are home to textiles, ceramics and timber workshops which are free to access. We also have a shop and coffee bar downstairs.

If you would like to visit or get involved in one of our workshops, please visit our website for more information: https://www.theexchangeerith.com

If you are interested in volunteering in the garden, email [email protected].
