Edinburgh Comic Con

The inaugural event took place on 12th & 13th April 2014, featuring a wide selection of guests from the world of comics, film & tv. During each event, they also raise funds for select charities in a bid to give something back to communities and help those less fortunate than themselves.

Folks, please be advised that we do not, nor ever have, run an event at the Royal Highland Centre.

Therefore, we're not qualified to deal with any enquiries on the current status of any events which may utilise that particular venue.

Although we can appreciate the humour in the confusion, and truly wish all parties involved the best, we need to advise that we simply don't have the resources to entertain such enquiries.

All the best,

James.

Today we give Colin Noble, one of our crew members, 'a good send off' as he passes to the comic con in the sky.

He was a truly charismatic fellow, whose love and enthusiasm for British comics, was nothing short of spectacular.

Colin had been with us since our days at Potterrow, and I'm sure that I speak for all our crew and patrons, when I say that he will be sorely missed.

Our thoughts are with his wife Karen and his family at this time.

As you all know, this Easter Weekend was to be ECC 2021, which itself was postponed from 2020.

However, this was not the case, and our annual gathering to celebrate various fandoms, while meeting guests from the world of comics, TV and movies was once again postponed to 2022.

Our venue at the International Conference Centre is currently a Covid-19 Vacination Centre, which in many ways is giving people hope for the future.

A New Hope if you will.

Anyway, we'll be back on 16-17th April 2022.

In the meantime, we suggest you take a little time to induldge your fandoms. Share your photos from previous years, read your favourite comics or books, watch a movie or TV show, plan your cosplay, buy something from one of our traders, or indeed, reach out to one of your friends you've made at our shows.

Hang in there, we'll see you all next year, and in the meantime you can keep in touch via our FB Group.

EDINBURGH COMIC CON POSTPONEMENT - OFFICIAL NOTICE

Dear Attendees,

As there is still a lot going on in the world just now, we will keep this short.

Our next instalment of Edinburgh Comic Con will be postponed until 16 & 17 April 2022.

Cutting to the chase, the venue won't be able to host our event, and we simply couldn't guarantee a decent line up for attendees, or footfall for exhibitors.

Therefore, we have decided to make this solid decision now.

So...

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR ATTENDEES?

Valid tickets for April 2021 will be transferred to April 2022 by default, ONLY to make things easier for yourself. There will be no additional transfer charge, and your ticket will not be subject to any price increases, should there be any.

HOWEVER, should this be unsuitable, we are happy to refund any tickets upon request to [email protected]

We would ask that any refund requests be made by 28 February 2021, as this will allow us to keep administration matters straight forward.

🦸‍♀️UPDATED 2021 TICKETS🦸‍♀️

Just to advise that updated tickets for April 2021 have now been sent out via email, so you should receive them soon.

Apologies for any delay, but we decided to provide a further 21 day grace period for refund requests after our initial cut-off date on 31 July 2020.

All the best,

James
