Rhythm Machine

It's with a heavy heart that we've decided to cancel this Saturday's Rhythm Machine in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.

This decision was not made lightly, given the work already put in by our guest artsists Cat and Éiméar, Summerhall and ourselves - and the numerous people financially dependant on the event. However after reading and listening to as many first hand accounts and informed analyses as possible, we believe it's the best decision for the health of communities here and abroad. There's no accurate estimate for how many people are currently carrying the virus in Scotland, but if we consider how the situation has developed elsewhere in the world, we feel it's only sane to take preventative action while we can.

All advance tickets will be refunded – Summerhall will be in touch with everyone who has already purchased imminently. Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

We don't think panic helps anyone, but we know that precaution does. We hope you all stay safe and happy this weekend, and we hope to see you again very soon.

Introducing our guest artist for this weekend's Rhythm Machine at Summerhall // Sat 25th Jan; Meera Nasheed 💡

Meera is a 3rd year film & TV undergrad at Edinburgh College of Art, from the Maldives and based between Edinburgh and London.

Her work looks at the altered reality that inhabits liminal spaces. Exploring the relationships and interactions we have within the places we routinely dwell in, and how this inadvertently creates the synergy we have with each other
