🌍 Visiting the Heart of Genetic Innovation in Africa
We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Kenyan Agriculture Genetics Resource Centre (KAGRC) — the largest semen collection facility in Africa, home to around 130 bulls. It was a fantastic opportunity to witness firsthand the scale behind one of Africa’s most important hubs for livestock genetic improvement.
The team was particularly excited to explore the capabilities of the Dynescan and its new SML parameter (Semen Motility Lifetime). This innovation offers fresh insight into ej*****te quality, helping centres like this determine which samples are best suited for sex-sorted versus conventional semen straws.
We were inspired by the openness, and shared drive to push the boundaries of fertility technology. A huge thank you to everyone at the centre for the warm welcome and collaborative spirit. Especially Julius Mutea, Benadette Misoi and Doris Kenboi.
