Responsibilities of the Support Worker include:
· Encouraging Service Users to live more independently in carrying out daily tasks.
· Participating in group and leisure activities where appropriate.
· Keeping reports up to date and accurate.
· When required, taking the Service users out to different locations from the facilities.
· Confidentiality ensuring that you respect the client group/staff.

ASA Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for Project Workers to provide staffing support to organisations in and around Edinburgh who work with service users facing homelessness, addictions and mental health.

We are looking for individuals who are confident, empathetic and have the ability to provide 1-1 support to service users who potentially will have challenging behaviour and addiction side effects.

Are you looking for something which is flexible? At ASA, we have Project Work available over a variety of shifts and can offer work to suit your availability.

The role of Project Worker will include:

· Supporting service users in temporary accommodation to acquire the skills to manage their own tenancy
· Supporting service users with making/attending appointments
· Supporting service users to participate in positive activities and social events within the community
· Acting as a positive role model to the service users that you support

To be successful in this role, candidates will:

· A working knowledge of homelessness and associated issues
· Be warm, friendly and able to connect with service users in a meaningful way
· You will hold a PVG and be willing to under-go any relevant updates with ASA
· You will be passionate about improving the life’s of others
