Dunstable u3a

Dunstable u3a's "2 milers" had a wonderful bluebell walk today in Ashridge. John Trevor led us deep into the sea of blue, along the main paths and some smaller deer trails. Many thanks for another memorable walk John.

New group proposed: Café Culture Club

Dunstable u3a proposes that the Café Culture Club will meet in the group leader’s home for the initial get-together on the Friday 27th of March from 1:30 to 3:30.

Thereafter, every fourth Friday of the month, we will meet in cafés chosen by the members

In order to generate conversation, members will be invited to bring along an unusual object to discuss; these will all be voted on by ballot and the winner will receive a prize at the end of the meeting, so will the loser….

Each meeting would have a theme such as film, music, travel, art, literature or any topic that a member might wish to suggest. Members might like to bring along an item of interest reflecting the theme , such as books, postcards , memorabilia , that would help generate conversation.

Dunstable u3a's 5 mile walking group did a very pleasant walk round Furzton Lake in Milton Keynes. We saw lots of water birds including masses of swans, ducks, cormorants, crows etc
