PHENOMENAL is the best word to describe today’s Mike Beard & Dan Hercus Lincolnshire Shield 🛡️ Touch Rugby tournament 🏉

With Isle Touch hosting Lincoln Touch, Doncaster Touch, Lincolnshire Lancers RUFC Sheffield Vulcans Inclusive Rugby Coventry Corsairs Rugby Club(combined IGR North) and MB All Stars, we had the good vibes and the good weather ☀️

Defending the shield, Isle Touch had a touch and go start, being caught on the back foot by Lincoln Touch, constantly looking for the equaliser throughout the game. With a drawn game and 2 mins to go, Isle managed to steal a win by 1 try, setting the tone for a pathway to the final.

Great dominant games against IGR North & MB All Stars alongside cat and mouse efforts between Doncaster and Isle saw the latter two teams reach the final.

With a 15 minute straight through final, Isle and Doncaster constantly found a reply to each others scores, with a 3-3 final, going to a 4v4 extra time. 1 score each in the 2 mins of extra time forced a golden goal scenario where a further player was dropped from each team, making the 3v3 push both teams grit for another 3 minutes, before Doncaster found the gap and converted their efforts for a winning score! The final score of 5-4 to the team from Donny 👏🏻

A fabulous event that raised £530 for 2 separate charitable causes 🫶🏻
