47.

That’s the average age of our Group PT.

Not 27.

47.

And we’re proud of it.

Because people over 40 aren’t slowing down…

They’re taking over the fitness space.

They’re investing in themselves.

Choosing strength over shortcuts.

Health over excuses.

Longevity over ego.

Age is just a number.

Your daily habits tell the real story.

You can be 25 and out of breath climbing the stairs.

Or 47 and smashing workouts, lifting weights and feeling better than you did a decade ago.

We don’t train just to look good.

We train so we’re still carrying our own shopping at 80 and living life on our own terms.

Muscle is freedom.

Strength is independence.

Fitness is the best investment you’ll ever make.

If you’re over 40, this isn’t the beginning of the end.

It’s the start of your strongest years.

See you at Group PT 💛🖤

My social media algorithm looks like it’s being hijacked by fitness stuff 🙄

The scary thing is that looking at all this ‘content’ you could easily think you are failing and badly at that 😵‍💫

From being shredded, ridiculous marathon or hyrox times to folk lifting serious weights, it can be a fairly daunting old place.

The reality is though, if you asked 100 people of what fitness actually is, you’ll get 100 different answers, nobody really knows, because it never will be a one size fits all.

It most certainly isn’t a look, or weight on a bar, or a certain time or event. As impressive as some of that might be, it’s not the full package.

Rather, try looking through the opposite end of the telescope…..

1. Do you keep turning up?
2. How does it make you feel?
3. Does it have you feeling or moving better?
4. Could you really do without it?

I do know this though.

If you are taking to the pitch in this game at 40,50,60 or whatever and you do it regularly, it ‘lifts you’ then you are simply training for life and you might not even know it 🙃

I would like to think as coaches 💬we get it💬

And based on that we 💬attract who we are💬

We are 44,45 and 49 (clinging on 🙄)

It’s then of no surprise at all, that over 80% of our client base fall within the 40 plus metric.

What we have in common as coaches is that exercise and fitness is central in our lives, it is a way of life and constant.

Our approach is to simply try and ensure The Unit is a place where are Group PT clients enjoy structured exercise, feel comfortable and keep coming back.

Because long term, that’s what provides physical health and mental wealth.

A service you actually use.

A critical part of your week.

Something you need 💛🖤

📲 always there for a tour & a chat if you think it might meet your need 🙃

The best goal for any client to have is to turn up.

The best goal for any fitness business to have is to get clients to continually turn up.

That’s enough. It’s plenty.

Clients don’t need to be ‘targeting anything’, you don’t ever need to compare and contrast to what others are doing. Don’t be fooled on that.

The large majority of our clients are not coming to The Unit for us to magically change their body or completely overhaul their lives.

That’s not it at all.

What we have is adults seeking exercise structure, weekly activity for a healthier lifestyle and a community, somewhere they feel they belong and a reason to keep showing up when life gets busy.

Stuff they simply would not do if left to paddle their own canoe.

It’s our job to provide that as best we can and being an environment they enjoy attending.

Of course, improving strength, fitness, and body composition may still be goals along the way but that’s just a by product to regularly turning up, week after week, month after month.

For many people, our clients, folk in their 40s and beyond, the sole biggest win is simply building consistency and maintaining a routine they wouldn’t stick to on their own.

And that’s more than okay 💛

….and always will be 🖤
