Great weekend last weekend back hillclimbing the Clio at Liverpool Motor Club and Kirkby Lonsdale Motor Club Barbon Hillclimb. Being my local and home event I love competing there. Had a great day, smashing my PB by almost 1 second and going quicker every single run, achieved 1st in Class for saloon cars upto 2L. Dad managed to get a 2nd in class as well, achieving his PB as well, considering it was the first time he got some dry runs there. On Sunday we were competing at Longton and District Motor Club Three Sisters sprint, again coming 1st in Class for Saloon cars up to 2L and smashing my PB again by 2 seconds and Dad coming 2nd in class and again smashing his PB by 2 seconds as well. Looking at my points in the North West Championship, we are now leading the championship. Great day a few weeks back hillclimbing the Clio at MG Car Club North West Scammonden Hillclimb. Even though I love sprinting, I also enjoy the buzz of a hillclimb as well. Had a great day, smashing my PB and going quicker every single run, it doesn’t look technical but it’s all about how much speed can you carry through the corners, achieved 1st in Class for saloon cars upto 2L. Maximum points achieved in the Liverpool speed championship and massive haul of points for the North West Championship. Looking forward to returning there as I still think there is more time to be had. Next event is my local one, Barbon Hillclimb near Kirkby Lonsdale on Saturday 14th June and Three Sisters sprint near Ashton in Makerfield on Sunday 15th June.

Great weekend sprinting the Clio at Cadwell Park, first sprint of the year. The car being fettled by Floyd from over the winter has worked wonders, the car drives so well now. Managed to knock about 4.5 seconds off my PB from last year and achieved a 2nd in Class for saloon cars upto 2L. Fab pictures by David Garrison Photography as well. Currently 1st in class and 1st overall in North West Championship, 5th overall in Nottingham Championship and 1st in class and 7th Overall in British Championship
