Finham WI

Come and see us at St Martins Christmas Fair at Finham, until 2.30pm today. We have some wonderful Christmas Hampers to raffle, and preserves and crafts for sale made by our members.

Unfortunately our speaker on embroidery on Monday (19th) morning is unable to attend due to circumstances beyond her control. We will now be making a floristry arrangement instead, as per the picture. We will be at Cheylesmore Community Centre (Room 2) from 10am until 12 noon. If you would like to attend and see if the WI is for you, please DM us (visitor fee £5.00). You will be most welcome. We will be back at St. Martins in Finham from March.

Finham Women's Institute usually meet at 10am on the 3rd Monday of the month at St. Martin in the Fields Church in Finham. However, this month at 10am on Monday 19th February we will be meeting at Cheylesmore Community Centre. Our guest speaker is Felicity Howatson, a former ecclesiastical embroiderer with a talk entitled "My Grandmother's Workbox" which she will be bringing with her, together with three generations of embroidery work. So if you had been thinking about joining a WI or would like a taster of what it is about, please come along on the 19th, you will be most welcome. You don't have to live in Finham to be a member. There is a £5.00 visitor fee; however, there are also a limited number of free taster session invitations available to pick up from Cheylesmore Library during opening hours (The Women's Institute is a national organisation open to all women over 18).
