Our volunteers at St Peter’s Hospital in Maldon have been making a difference in more ways than one. In addition to running the hospital tearoom to support patients and visitors, they chose to donate profits from the tearoom to two local charities. Last week, three of our volunteers, Caroline Lambert, Linda Sanderson and Mel Wisbey, had the pleasure of visiting one of the charities, Action for Family Carers, to present the donation and meet CEO James Clarke and Kath Vale, Head of Business and Development Partnerships.
This contribution is a wonderful example of the lasting impact volunteering can have across our communities.
